Hi Tom,

Just to keep you up to speed with regard Ito Miguel, our cat.

He has been on your prescription for approx. 5 weeks now.

Initially like with the Mirtazepine he appeared slightly hypo-manic, but we persisted - we got a timer feeder (for nights) to accommodate the 6 doses per day - even then we found by week 2 he responded better on 5 doses per day (- less manic !) and by week three he had become used to it and was a generally more relaxed cat.

Sleep pattern much improved.

Relationship with our younger  - more kittenish cat (Rubeo), had hardly changed and then about 10-12 days ago we noticed them "wrestling' NOT fighting, running back and forth with Miguel giving as good as he gets.

This initially took Rubeo by surprise !

As we have accepted this, we are now more relaxed, but like all children play does occasionally and now only occasionally get out of control and need our intervention.

This is a real change !

All this extra exercise has now meant he has lost nearly a kg in weight ! 

He is not a fat cat - being stable at 6kg - so now we are looking to introduce extra high calorific meat bar snacks  - to keep his weight stable.

Appetite is definitely better, though still a picky eater (we don't think that will change); on top of being more relaxed he is now more affectionate not only to us, but also to Rubeo - spotted yesterday, rubbing noses with Rubeo - no aggression, a real first.

so far, so good.
