Jump start your way into Spring

Jump start your way into Spring

Hooray for Spring! It’s the time of year when most of us feel re-energised and optimistic. The sunshine can’t help but make us happy, and the long dark days of winter are behind us once again. If you’re looking for ways to make a new start this Spring, both physically and emotionally, we have some fantastic and informative articles from the past that should be able to help you.

A healthy new start

In the past, we have discussed the ways in which you can bound forwards into the new season. Both physically and emotionally, the new season offers us all the chance to reflect on our goals for the future. As you shed layers of clothes and expose more skin, perhaps you are suddenly feeling a little insecure about your looks, and in turn, this is knocking your confidence. Don’t let this be the case. It’s time to give yourself a check-up, and set yourself some new, positive goals, that should last you for the rest of the year.

For starters, check out our article entitled, Are you healthy? DIY test right here. There’s plenty of advice on how to give yourself a health check at home, without it costing a penny. We advise on checking your nails and hair, your blood pressure and your urine. How healthy do you think you are? Take ten minutes to make a note of your results from our DIY test and then create an action plan for your diet and exercise. If you have any niggling doubts about your physical health, don’t leave it, make an appointment and visit your doctor, otherwise, start an action plan and improve your own health now. Make this Spring the season you turned over a new leaf!

Are you healthy? DIY test

If you’re generally pretty healthy, but you aren’t happy about your body, it is definitely worth reading our article 12 reasons to be proud of your body here. Remember, you are unique. There is nobody else like you, so you will never have anybody else’s body. The old truism that beauty is skin deep and that it is what’s inside that counts, is spot on. You will never feel good unless you accept yourself and all your imperfections and flaws, but that means really learning to love those, and finally not seeing them as imperfections at all, but individual aspects of your perfect self.

Coming to terms with negative experiences involving those you love

If you have experienced trauma or emotional distress at the hands of someone you loved and trusted, the healing process can take some time. In our article about Learning to Forgive, we discuss how forgiveness allows you to let go feelings of bitterness, resentment, and vengeance you have against another person. We suggest that you don’t do this for them, but that you do it for yourself. Genuine forgiveness can help you heal from grief and depression, and prevent the worsening of negative emotions, oppression and depression. Here at Marie Pure we understand that emotions such as anger, bitterness and hate can trigger physical symptoms, such as upset stomachs or high blood pressure.

Improving your general happiness

Do you feel like you have been getting stuck in a rut? Spring is here, with all its promise of moving forwards, and possibly your friends and family seem to be a great deal more positive than you. If that’s the case, we have tips that can help.

Letting go of the pastPerhaps you have experiences from the past that you are struggling with. Do you need help letting go? We do need time after something awful or sad happens to us. We need the space to grieve and recover. There’s a saying, ‘fake it till you make it’ that can help you pretend things are alright, allowing you to go about your daily business and routines, but if you’re still struggling to properly move on, our article, Letting go of the past offers five tips that may be of use here.

Or perhaps you simply feel that your life is too humdrum, and you’re becoming bored doing the same old thing over and over again. While the routines and consistency we build into our everyday lives help to give us security and meaning, it can get to the stage, when your schedule feels like it rules you. All of a sudden you can’t see the joy in life. It’s the same-old, same-old. If you recognise this feeling, stop! Take time to be kind to yourself, break your daily routine and try something different every day. You can find more tips in our article 10 tips to help you break your daily routine, right here.

It is feasible that you have many wonderful ideas for your life, and you know happiness is within reach, but you’re a bit of a procrastinator and so you never get anything done.
