Bach Flower Advice

Can Bach Flower Remedies be used for animals as well?

Bach Flower Remedies are extracts of flowers from plants, shrubs and trees that work on the emotions and feelings of humans and animals. The extracts are diluted with alcohol and water and are completely harmless. Bach Flower Remedies can be given to children without any risk. They are not addictive and have no side effects. Bach Flower Remedies can also not give any side effects like some normal medicines do.

Since the discovery of Bach flower therapy by Dr. Edward Bach early last century, a lot of people have already benefited from the healing power of Bach Flower Remedies. During the last couple of years there is a tendency to apply it to animals as well. Veterinarians and animal caretakers have achieved very good results with animals. In fact some results are often much better than when treating people.

The dosage of Bach Flower Remedies for animals is the same as for people. You can add the drops for example into their drinking bowl or mix it into their food. Rubbing it onto their muzzle has the same effect. Horses are the only ones that need a higher dosage of Bach Flower Remedies. Here we need to use not 4 but 10 drops at a time.

A couple of examples where Bach Flower Remedies were applied successfully. A dog, which was afraid of a thunderstorm, was given Bach Flower Remedies specific to this type of fear during one week. After one week he was no longer afraid when it rained hard or there was a thunderstorm outside.

A horse, which was too afraid to jump again his accident, was jumping over the highest hurtle after two weeks again after taking a combination of Bach Flower Remedies.

Bach Flower Remedies have turned an aggressive cat, which clawed at approaching people, into a sweet cuddly pussycat.

I can go on giving more examples on the positive effect of Bach Flower Remedies. It is a fact that they work and this is maybe proof for a lot of people who don’t believe in Bach Flower Remedies. This proves that no placebo effect is in place, as animals completely don’t know what they are given, if they even see that they have been given something.

Bach Flower Remedies can also be used successfully for people. A number of combinations of Bach Flower Remedies can be found on this site.
